New Encinitas Info

NEW ENCINITAS

New Encinitas, bisected by El Camino Real, has everything one would need within a short 5-10 minute drive. This main thoroughfare is surrounded on either side by many businesses offering anything from sushi to spices. There are a number of big box stores throughout this corridor, but don't let that stop you from exploring the finer offerings of these strip malls. You may stumble upon some great grub at Craftsman Tavern or Jorge's Mexicatessen (both are actually in the same parking lot). You might find some great gear at CRC thriftstore, next to Sprouts. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to get a seat at Kaito Sushi and have a nice conversation about NASCAR with Kazu .

This community also offers some fabulous family living in one of the smaller neighborhoods, such as Village Park. Here you'll find many sprawling greenbelts filled with families, dogs, tennis courts, pools, picnic benches, playgrounds, and a neighborhood library or two. Moonlight beach is only a hop, skip, and a jump (10-12 minute drive) down Encinitas Blvd. Challenge yourself by running one of the many areas with hills and elevation changes or follow the community paths for a lovely evening stroll with the pooch. All in all, New Encinitas has a little bit of everything for everyone.
